When you think of Gifu, the iconic "Gifu Castle" associated with Oda Nobunaga comes to mind! Perched atop Mount Kinka, the view from the castle's main keep is absolutely breathtaking. You can easily reach it via the ropeway, making it a perfect spot for both history buffs and scenery lovers.
Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Explore Gifu City before taking the Kinka Ropeway to Gifu Castle. From the main keep, enjoy a panoramic view of the Kiso River and Gifu City—it’s truly refreshing! At night, the illuminated castle creates a magical atmosphere.
Day 2: Stroll through the historic streets of Kawaramachi and visit the Great Buddha of Gifu. With charming cafes and street food, it’s an ideal date spot.
