【Introduction】: Hoh Xil, meaning 'blue ridge' in Mongolian, is known as 'Aqen Gongjia' in Tibetan. Located in the heart of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it spans across Qinghai, Tibet, and Xinjiang, covering an area of over 230,000 square kilometers. It is the largest World Heritage site in China. The Hoh Xil Nature Reserve (officially known as the Sanjiangyuan National Park Hoh Xil Reserve) is located in Qinghai, covering an area of 45,000 square kilometers with an average altitude of around 5,000 meters. It is the largest World Natural Heritage site in China and a genetic repository for rare wildlife on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
