Reminiscing about the past at Chibi, recalling the poetic sentiments of Su Dongpo

To the north of Hanchuan Gate in the ancient city of Huangzhou, there is a mountain as steep as a wall. Because the rocks are red in color, it is named "Chibi".

That year, the 45-year-old Huzhou prefect Su Shi was demoted to Huangzhou because of the "Wudai Poetry Case". He was open-minded and easy-going. He worked as a farmer and expressed his feelings in nature. In four years and two months, he created nearly 500 poems, letters and other literary works, including the famous "Red Cliff Nostalgia" and the "Red Cliff" before and after, so this place is called Dongpo Red Cliff.

Go up along Chibi to Jiandao Peak, pass by Xijiang Pavilion, Poxian Pavilion, Shuixian Pavilion, Fanggui Pavilion, Wenhe Pavilion, ask about the way to Qixia Tower, Liuxian Pavilion, and Beige Pavilion, appreciate calligraphy and paintings in Erfu Hall, and feel Su Shi's bold and unrestrained life in Dongpo Exhibition Hall.

The river flows eastward, but its waves never cease to wash away the fallen. Among the thousands of great figures throughout history, besides Zhou Yu of the Three Kingdoms, there is also Su Dongpo of the Northern Song Dynasty.
