🛄 | Journey through the Alps starting from Grindelwald
Starting from the village of Grindelwald, you can take the Firstbahn gondola and reach the skies in about 25 minutes. As the cable car ascends, the green fields disappear, and clouds and snow-capped mountains unfold before your eyes. The view outside the window is so breathtaking that everyone falls silent.
As you ascend, the Eiger, which seemed so distant from below, gets closer and closer, giving you the feeling of gliding through the mountains.

🌿 A panoramic view at the summit
The scenery that greets you upon reaching the summit of First is truly overwhelming. The majestic north face of the Eiger stands right before you, with the Mönch and Jungfrau mountains stretching out in the distance. The air is crisp and clear, and the sky is a transparent blue. Below, the Grindelwald valley is visible at a glance, and clouds drift slowly between the peaks.

🏔️ The thrilling step of the First Cliff Walk
The highlight of the summit is undoubtedly the First Cliff Walk by Tissot. Walking along the metal bridge installed on the cliff, you can see the deep valley below your feet, which is both dizzying and exhilarating. Standing at the observation deck at the end of the bridge, clouds flow beneath your feet, giving you the feeling of walking in the sky. At that moment, it was almost unbelievable to realize I was standing atop the mountain range.

🌤️ Dazzling sunlight and serene air
By noon, the sky became even clearer, and the sunlight sharply outlined the snowy peaks. As the clouds cleared, the contrast between the green meadows and white peaks became vivid, showcasing the 'first-class scenery' that First is named after. The peaceful sounds of cowbells and the distant whispers of the wind created a serene atmosphere that you could never experience in the city.

1️⃣ Travel Route – Interlaken Ost → Grindelwald (about 35 minutes by train) → Firstbahn gondola ride (about 25 minutes to the summit).
2️⃣ Recommended Time – 9 to 11 AM. Fewer clouds and soft sunlight make for the most beautiful photos.
3️⃣ Clothing Tips – Even in summer, the perceived temperature is around 10°C. A windbreaker, sunglasses, and sunscreen are essential!
4️⃣ Recommended Course – First Cliff Walk → Bachalpsee hiking (2-hour round trip).
5️⃣ Activities – Various experiences like First Flyer (zipline), Mountain Cart, and Trottibike (scooter) are available.
