The Guangdong Museum officially opened on October 1, 1959. It is one of the first national first-class museums and an important cultural and tourist landmark in the Greater Bay Area. The architectural design of the Zhujiang New Town branch is inspired by traditional lacquer boxes, with spatial concepts borrowed from Guangdong's traditional ivory ball crafts. The overall creative design resembles a green ribbon filled with treasures.😍

The museum's treasures include jade-carved white-cut chicken, Duan inkstones, and Chaozhou wood carvings. The aquarium section, which is the most popular, is located on the mezzanine of the third floor. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a beautiful blue 'ocean' scene.
