Guide | Guangzhou is all about eating and shopping

| Guangzhou is all about shopping and eating. After ten years, I visited Guangzhou again. I recommend the following three-day itinerary for the city and Panyu area.

📅Travel route:
D1: Arrive at the hotel and put down the luggage - go to Beijing Road - walk to the Pearl River - walk along the river to Shamian - go to Yongqingfang - return to the hotel to rest

D2: After breakfast - go to Yuexiu Park - go to Panyu (Seagull Island and Lotus Hill) - return to Zhujiang New Town for a night cruise on the Pearl River (view the night view of the Little Slender Waist) - return to the hotel to rest

D3: After breakfast - go to Shangxiajiu Road - ride a bicycle to stroll around the old city of Guangzhou - return to the hotel to pick up luggage and go home

🌄 Recommended attractions:
-pedestrian mall:
1. Beijing Road (Big Buddha Temple, various historical buildings)
2. Shangxiajiu (main stores of time-honored brands: Lin Heung Lau, Emperor Emperor, Tao Tao Ju)
3. Shamian (witness a piece of history, very suitable for taking photos)
4. Yongqingfang (Bruce Lee's ancestral home, Cantonese opera art museum, bookstore, coffee shop and restaurant)

-garden:
1. Yuexiu Park (the Five Rams of Guangzhou are located here, as well as the Guangzhou Museum)
2. Baiyun Mountain (climbing high and looking far)

-Panyu area:
1. Seagull Island (seafood, summer resort)
2. Lotus Mountain (climb the mountain to worship Buddha, and the food made from honey is delicious!)

🚗Transportation strategy:
Public transportation: Most attractions are accessible
Self-driving: It is recommended to drive to Panyu area
Taxi: Guangzhou is quite congested, so it is recommended to avoid rush hour.

🍽Dining recommendations: (There are so many that I can’t finish them!)
1. Cantonese cuisine: mainly seafood
2. Morning tea: shrimp dumplings, siu mai, lava buns, barbecued pork buns, chicken feet, pork ribs, etc.
3. Roast meat: roast goose, roast duck, boiled chicken, soy sauce chicken, barbecued pork (braised meat is also good)
4. Sweet soup: Double-skin milk, ginger milk, red bean paste, mango sago, black sesame paste

💗Other Tips:
1. Pearl River Cruise: During the day, you can stroll along the river (many historical buildings) or take tram line 1 (very suitable for taking photos). At night, it is recommended to take a boat cruise.
2. Guangzhou Tower: Be sure to come and enjoy the night view (there is a Ferris wheel on the tower)
3. Baiyun Mountain: It is recommended to take the cable car up the mountain (it saves time)
