Erfen Mingyue Tower, located at No. 263 Guangling Road , is hidden on the side of a busy road . It was first built during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty by a wealthy local family surnamed Yuan based on a line from the Tang Dynasty poet Xu Ning: " One-third of the world is covered in moonlight, and two-thirds of the scoundrels are in Yangzhou . "

There is a forest area and 7 long buildings in the garden .A plaque inscribed with the words " Erfen Mingyue Tower " by Qian Yong, a Qing Dynasty poet, hangs above the building . The garden also boasts buildings such as Yingyue Tower, Xizhao Tower, and Meixi Yinxie, all inscribed with plaques and couplets by renowned calligraphers such as Jin Nong and Zheng Banqiao.
