Cantonese fine dining that’s worth the hype

Listen, to me, Chinese food is comfort food and I don’t usually think it needs to be fancy. But this restaurant is one of a few exceptions for me because the food is delicious and the service is absolutely top notch.

The vibes are also great. This place is opened in partnership with the art museum so there are constantly changing exhibitions of artwork in the restaurant, from paintings to sculptures. This means every time you visit there would be different decor and I think that’s pretty cool.

I’m definitely planning on coming again next time I’m in Guangzhou. The Peking duck sushi is a must try, as is the abalone of course. But be sure to reserve it ahead of time to get the dried version because that can run out quite quickly, especially if you come during a holiday.

Anyway, I’ll be dreaming about that crispy char siu for a long, long time.
