
Dengzhou People's Park is located in the northeastern part of the city, bounded by Rangcheng Road to the east, Beihuan Road to the north, Wenhua Road to the west, and Waicheng River to the south. It borders Dengzhou City Junior High School No. 1 to the south, Dengzhou Health School to the north, Wenhua Road to the west, and Rangcheng Road, Dengzhou City Junior High School No. 5, and Dengzhou City Senior High School No. 6 (Dengzhou Vocational Education Center) to the east. The park covers a total area of 37.4 hectares, of which 26.8 hectares are dedicated to green space, resulting in a greening rate of 71.6%. It is currently the largest comprehensive park in Dengzhou. The park's master plan uses the traditional Chinese character "Deng" as its framework, integrating the character's overall form through the use of varying density in the plane and elevations. The park strives to achieve a grand, majestic, and modern effect, reflecting the ancient, enterprising, and hardworking spirit of the Dengzhou people.
Dengzhou People's Park is located south of Dengzhou City's No. 1 Junior High School, north of Dengzhou Health School, west of Wenhua Road, and east of Rangcheng Road, Dengzhou City's No. 5 Junior High School, and Dengzhou No. 6 Senior High School (Dengzhou Vocational Education Center). It is Dengzhou's largest public recreational and leisure venue. According to the master plan, it is divided into five functional zones: senior activity area, children's play area, fountain plaza, tensile membrane plaza, and water play area. The greening layout, reflecting the seasonal changes and Dengzhou's location in the north-south transition zone, is divided into five landscape zones: Sea of Flowers (Spring Flower Zone), Green Shade (Summer Shade Zone), Frosted Leaves Dancing Butterflies (Autumn Leaf Zone), Twisted Branches Reflecting the Snow (Winter Zone), and Nine Provinces' Fragrance (New and Excellent Plant Display Zone). The plantings are arranged according to the principles of a balanced mix of trees, shrubs, flowers, and grasses, creating a distinct and diverse landscape.
The park has a temperate monsoon climate and water is the main landscape. The internal space is integrated by the ecological, humanistic and modern landscape functional axes, making it suitable for travel in all seasons.
