In 1992, a new exhibition hall was built on the same site, with a total floor area of 18,700 square meters, four times larger than before, and a total collection of about 166,000 items. There are 404 first-class cultural relics and 7,284 second-class cultural relics. In particular, the quality and quantity of calligraphy, paintings, and ancient ceramics are said to be among the best in the country. There are also more than 40,000 natural specimens and fossils in the collection.
