Stayed at Chimelong Panda Hotel Guangzhou for two days,
and really want to write a detailed review for families in need 😊
For adults, the hotel overall feels like a four-star to regular five-star standard, but for kids, it’s truly a paradise they will love ❤️
·
🌟 Key Highlights
1. Themed Design Full of Childlike Fun
* The entire hotel is decorated with panda elements, from the giant panda sculpture in the lobby to cartoon murals in the rooms and panda-themed toiletries. Even the elevators have a jungle adventure vibe, immersing kids in a fairy tale world as soon as they enter.
* Offers themed rooms like Prince, Cute, and Cool, with some rooms equipped with separate children's beds, tents, and bumper guards—thoughtful details.
2. Rich Parent-Child Activities
* The hotel features a panda theater, children’s musicals, and weekend parade performances with frequent character interactions, allowing kids to get up close with the “Three Panda Treasures” characters.
* Comes with a complimentary parent-child gift pack (we received keychains, pencil cases, postcards, etc.). The suite package I booked included fast-track access, saving playtime.
3. Convenience and Service
* Within walking distance to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom Zhuhai (about 10 minutes), the hotel also offers free shuttle buses and free strollers.
* Butler service is responsive, assisting with booking popular attractions and planning routes, with efficient check-out procedures.
·
⚠️ Notes
* Price is relatively high: Holiday room rates can exceed 1,000 RMB, with slightly lower cost performance compared to nearby budget hotels.
* Aging facilities: Some rooms are older with average soundproofing; it’s recommended to choose higher floors or newly opened room types.
* Limited dining options: Buffet has a wide variety but is pricey; recommended to try the free kids’ meals and seafood stalls.
🍽 Dining Recommendations
* Panda Buffet Restaurant: Over 800 seats, popular for Japanese sashimi, Cantonese roasted meats, and children’s dessert area; suggest dining off-peak.
* Nearby Food: The hotel is close to Aoyuan City Tiandi commercial area, about a 10-minute taxi ride, recommended dishes include abalone chicken pot and Chaoshan beef hotpot.
