Picturesque cruise ride from Guilin

Guilin is well known for its beautiful nature landscapes, especially for its world renowned river, the Li river. And to best enjoy the Li River, I will highly recommend take the river cruise which takes you from Guilin to Yang Shuo.

I must say the views along the way are incredible. Remember seeing those Chinese paintings that has sea and mountains? This place looks exactly like that! It was really an eye opening experience for me.

For the cruise ride, there are 2 options. The 3 star and the 4 star cruise, which you can choose from depending on your budget. There is also lunch provided during the ride, but just note that the meals are definitely not a highlight of the ride. The trip will take about 4 hours to reach the destination.

One tip for those who are taking the cruise: Make sure to check the weather forecast and plan for a ride which has a good weather with no rain. Reason being the viewing deck of the cruise is not sheltered, so if it’s raining you will not be able to go out and enjoy the amazing scenery and most likely all of the incredible views will be blocked by the fog as well!
