Guiping, Guangxi: Climb to the top of Xishan Mountain and activate your happy dopamine.

In Guangxi, I learned that there are seven Xishan Mountains in China, but only Guiping Xishan Mountain is located on the Tropic of Cancer. It is a national 4A-level scenic spot with a long history. It has been a tourist destination since the beginning of the Southern Liang Dynasty, which is more than 1,400 years ago. Guiping Xishan Scenic Area is so meaningful. Since I am in Guiping, how can I not visit it?

The scenic spots marked on the Xishan Scenic Area map are so dense. I am a little greedy when I visit tourist attractions, and I want to visit all the scenic spots. Hey, how is that possible? I sorted out my thoughts and defined the joy of climbing this time. I enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way and experienced the five unique features of Guiping Xishan Mountain: "strange stones, beautiful forests, sweet springs, fragrant tea, and sacred Buddhism."

The highest peak of Xishan Mountain is 678 meters above sea level. Today is the weekend, and there are many people climbing the mountain. Many locals bring their children to experience the joy of climbing. Looking at the endless steps under my feet, the thought of retreating flashed in my mind. My husband climbed up first, which gave me strength. Up, up! The happy dopamine in my body was activated, and I felt relaxed and happy! Looking at these strange rocks and the trees with strong vitality, the roots lie on the rocks and grow well. It is incredible.

Wow! Standing on the top of the mountain, overlooking Guiping, a city surrounded by mountains and rivers, a delicate ink painting is presented in front of me. It is so beautiful!
I went down the mountain and passed by the Tang Yushi Li Gong Temple. I went in to have a look and was deeply touched. He was the governor of Xunzhou in the Tang Dynasty. Because he loved the people and governed well, he was deeply loved by the people. After his death, a temple was built, and a statue was erected. Incense was offered, and it has continued to this day.

Opening hours: 4:00–19:00. Tickets are CNY 80. Children under 1.3 meters and seniors over 65 years old are free.
