Guiyang Huaxi Walking Guide

Core Strategy: Guiyang Huaxi Park

Guiyang Huaxi Park is known as the "Pearl of the Plateau" and is one of the oldest natural landscape parks in Guiyang. Marshal Chen Yi once praised it in a poem: "True mountains and true waters are everywhere, Huaxi's layout is more natural. The ten-mile river beach is as clear as a mirror, a few steps to flower beds and farmland."

1. Basic Information

· Address: No. 3108, South Section of Huaxi Avenue, Huaxi District, Guiyang, Guizhou Province
· Opening Hours: Open all day
· Admission Fee: Free entry
· Recommended Duration: 3-5 hours
· Best Seasons to Visit: Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September-November). Spring features blooming flowers, autumn offers clear skies and the most beautiful scenery. Summer is good for escaping the heat but watch out for rain.

2. Main Attractions and Highlights

1. Ten-Mile River Beach:
· The core of the park, a clear stream winding through the park, with trails, weeping willows, farmland, and gardens on both sides.
· You can walk or cycle along the river beach and experience the poetic scene of "a few steps to flower beds and farmland."
2. Linshan (Lin Mountain):
· The park's highest point, not very tall and easy to climb. The "Feiyun Pavilion" at the top is the best spot to overlook the entire Huaxi Park, with clear water, green mountains, and countryside in full view.
3. Bashang Bridge:
· One of the iconic spots in Huaxi Park. Under the bridge, the river forms a small waterfall with the sound of flowing water, surrounded by ancient towering trees, making it an excellent place for photos and check-ins.
