Bulguksa Temple: 15-1 Jinhyeon-dong, Gyeongju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do

After enjoying Korean beef, continue to take bus No. 10 from Bomun Lake and continue to the right side of the map. After about 30 minutes, you will reach the famous Bulguksa Temple. The scenery along the way is beautiful and pleasant. There will be a short uphill road after arrival. There are vendors shouting on the roadside. It’s not bad to take a cultural tour!

According to the guidebook, it is said that in the 15th year of King Beopheung of Silla, King Beopheung built it according to his mother's wishes in order to pray for peace and prosperity for the country and the people. After the Imjin Japanese Invasion, almost all important cultural relics, including buildings, were burned or looted. Before 1920, only some buildings and dilapidated towers remained, and it is only through continuous restoration work and the collection of seven national treasures that the temple has its current majestic appearance.

It is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage along with Seokguram Grotto. However, due to the low frequency of visits to Seokguram Grotto, with each visit lasting about an hour, and the need to arrange afternoon tea at a Korean house, I had no choice but to choose one to visit.

Tickets (Adults): 6,000 KRW
