Gyeongju Jjoksaem District: A Free Domestic Travel Destination

⭐️Gyeongju Jjoksaem District⭐️ is located east of Daereungwon and is the site of the Hwangori Tomb Cluster, a collective burial ground for Silla royalty and nobility from the 4th to 6th centuries. To protect and excavate the damaged tombs, private land was acquired, and investigations began in 2007. It is estimated that there are over 800 tombs in total. The Jjoksaem Archaeological Excavation Hall, completed in 2014, is uniquely designed to openly showcase the excavation site to the public. Visitors can vividly observe the actual excavation process, including Tomb No. 44, from a 360-degree glass walkway on the second floor.
