Where do you think the oldest existing astronomical observatory in the world is?
Greenwich Observatory in England? Stonehenge?
The answer is Cheomseongdae in Gyeongju👀!!
Cheomseongdae, an astronomical observatory built in 633 during the Unified Silla period in the center of Wolseong, Gyeongju, is a precious relic that shows the high interest of the Silla people in astronomical phenomena at the time. 💫
Today, after more than a thousand years, Cheomseongdae has transformed into a travel spot loved by many people!! The beautiful pink muhly fields that bloom in the fall and the colorful lights that illuminate Cheomseongdae every night are the things that tourists visiting Gyeongju can't miss😆
On this day in the photo, the wind blew so hard that it felt like a strong wind was blowing in Gyeongju🌀🌀
I had already come dressed warmly in the low temperature,
but I remember being helpless against the typhoon-like wind😬
Maybe it was because the wind was blowing so much, but on this day, on one side of the Cheomseongdae lawn, they were selling various kinds of kites!
Thanks to that, the Cheomseongdae lawn was a spectacular sight with people of all ages, men and women, adults and children, flying kites🎏
P.S. I think the old man selling the kites hit the jackpot that dayㅋㅋ
