Back in Hainan for the second time, and my first stop? Haikou! 🚗✨ This cultural gem is worth exploring at a relaxed pace, so I planned a one-day itinerary to hit all the classic city spots.

🗺️ My Route:
🌿 White Sand Gate Park → 🏛️ Haikou Clock Tower → 🌆 Qilou Old Street → 🏺 Hainan Museum → 🌳 Wanlu Park → 🌊 Waterfront Center → 🌙 Qilou Night View → 🛍️ Tailong Mall → 🍢 Hainan Uni Night Market

📍 Highlights & Best Photo Spots 📸
🌴 White Sand Gate Park – A scenic seaside park with tropical plants, a beach, and the closest ocean view in the city! Perfect for portraits on a sunny day. ☀️

⏰ Haikou Clock Tower – A historic city landmark, easily accessible by multiple buses. Just across the street?

🏡 Qilou Old Street – A mix of new and old South Asian-style buildings, making it one of the best photo spots in Haikou! 🌿💛 Bonus: It’s also a filming location for "Youth" (芳华)!
📸 Best free photo spot: Jianwai Boutique Hostel (2nd & 3rd floors) – The owner is generous enough to allow visitors to take pictures without requiring a stay!

🍜 Must-try eats: Local Hainanese snacks at affordable prices!

🏺 Hainan Museum – A must-visit for culture lovers! Exhibits cover Hainan’s history, ethnic clothing, architecture, flora, and fauna. Free entry with ID, but closed on Mondays!

Haikou is laid-back yet rich in history, with stunning coastal views & hidden gems. One day is enough to get a taste, but I’d love to come back for more! 🌊💙
