Matsuyama 3-Day Trip: Day 1 - Gogoshima and Okaido

Departed from Incheon at 7:00 AM and arrived at 8:30 AM. After grabbing a coupon for Korean visitors, I took a shuttle to Okaido, starting my itinerary around 9:20 AM!

From Matsuyama City Station -> Takahama Station -> Took a ferry to Yura Port! (Make sure to prepare 300 yen for the ferry ride!)

Since I didn’t rent a bike, there wasn’t much to do on Gogoshima. Two hours were more than enough for me. 🥲

I explored a nearby temple, relaxed by the sea, had lunch at Shima Udon, enjoyed beer at Beer Farm, and stopped by Cotton John Coffee. I think I visited all the spots near Yura Port. 🥹

While walking from Matsuyama Station to Okaido, I was lucky to see the Botchan Train running since it was the weekend. 🚂

Ended the day with a drink at Koichi and received great service at an oden bar. 🍢

Although I wasn’t feeling great on the first day, I was deeply moved by the kindness of the Japanese people. 🥹🍀

Gogoshima
- Beer Farm ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Highly recommend Hanamoto Farm beer! 🍀)
- Shima Udon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Generous tempura and chewy noodles 🍤)
- Cotton John Coffee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (The latte was amazing, and they even gave me a snack to try! 🥹)

Okaido
- Koichi ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (The salted karaage was tasty at first but got too salty, so I couldn’t finish it and left two pieces. 🥲)
- Odenya Takeshi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Oden with sweet potato shochu 🍶—the konjac and radish were absolutely delicious! 💖 I was worried because it had a 3-star rating on Google, but the service was excellent, and they were incredibly kind. 🥹)
