Legend has it that if you eat one of these black eggs from Owakudani, your life will be extended by seven years. These eggs are boiled slowly in the gushing waters of Owakudani, which is also the source of the hot springs, and are characterized by their pitch black shells. Other than that, they are supposed to be normal boiled eggs, but when you try them, they have an addictive taste that will make you want to eat several. They come in a set of five and are sold at the Kuro Tamagokan.
