Hakone: A Healing Destination Where Hot Springs, Nature, and Art Perfectly Intertwine

To me, Hakone is not just a travel destination but a place where you can truly relax your body and mind, and slow down the pace of life.

Starting with Owakudani, witnessing the active volcano emitting smoke was so breathtaking that I was left speechless 🌋. Although the weather can sometimes get foggy, it only adds to the mysterious atmosphere. My favorite part was riding the Hakone Ropeway, gliding down from the mountaintop into the valley, with stunning views along the way.

Then, taking the pirate ship cruise on Lake Ashi, feeling the gentle breeze while gazing at Mount Fuji reflected on the lake (weather permitting 😅), was incredibly soothing. If you have time, take a stroll near Moto-Hakone Port or visit the shrine to pray for peace and tranquility 🙏.

At night, I stayed at the "Setsugetsuka" hot spring inn, soaking in the open-air onsen while listening to the chirping of insects and birds. It felt like all my stress melted away. The onsen water was silky and comfortable, and the room even had a private bath, allowing me to enjoy a quiet moment all to myself 🛁✨.

🎨 Bonus: If you love art, visit the Hakone Glass Museum or the Hakone Open-Air Museum. Every corner is Instagram-worthy!

📌 Tips:
• Consider using the "Hakone Free Pass" for super convenient and cost-effective transportation.
• Bring a light jacket and an umbrella in case of unpredictable weather.
• Some attractions close early, so plan your time wisely.
• If it's foggy, visit lower-altitude attractions first and head up the mountain when the weather clears!
