Hakone Yumoto Station Flower Viewing

Hakone, a hot spring town with a long history in Japan, was once a place that many people were afraid to visit due to its steep mountain roads. In 1919, the Hakone Tozan Railway was newly opened, which greatly improved the public transportation conditions and promoted the prosperity of Hakone in the past 100 years. The Hakone Tozan Railway climbs all the way up the Hayakawa River Valley to a high platform. On both sides of the railway, there are green mountains and flowers on both sides. The pink cherry blossoms in spring, the fresh green in summer, the red maple leaves in autumn, and the snow in winter have different scenery in each season. It is a leisurely ride, as if walking through the four seasons gallery of Hakone.

Hakone Yumoto Station
Yumoto, the starting point of the Hakone Tozan Railway, has a traditional hot spring town with a strong retro atmosphere that is fascinating and suitable for outdoor photography.

Tonosawa Station
The station platform is directly connected to the quiet mini shrine Fukasawa Zeniarai Benzaiten, which is the most effective place to pray for wealth.

Tonosawa Station Ootaidai Station
The Hayakawa Bridge between the two stations is the oldest existing railway bridge in Japan. The scenery is particularly magnificent during the autumn leaves season. The train will stop on the bridge for a few seconds to let visitors enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains.

Big platform station
The Hakone Tozan Railway is also known as the Hydrangea Railway during the rainy season. The Hydrangea Trail at the Great Terrace Station is the most anticipated flower viewing spot along the route.

Gora Station
The Hakone Tozan Railway ends at Gora. The weeping cherry blossoms outside the station are the most beautiful messenger of spring. You can also transfer to the mountain cable car here to travel to a higher altitude in the Hakone Mountains.

Hakone Suishoen and Fufu Hakone, both of which are part of Fufu Resort, also provide pick-up and drop-off services from the mountain tram station, making your trip to Hakone even easier and more convenient.
