We enjoyed some Mikkabi mandarin soft serve ice cream at a service area overlooking Lake Hamana with a spectacular view!

This is a service area shared by both the northbound and southbound lanes of the Tomei Expressway, and can also be accessed from the general road. If you go to the "Food Court with a View of the Lake," which offers a panoramic view of Lake Hamana, you will find a lush green grassy area with many benches, where you can enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Hamana. You can also see the night view, and the lights of Tateyamadera Onsen are said to be beautiful. In the square, there is a heart lock, which is a padlock shaped like a heart, and many couples visit because it is Instagram-worthy.
They were selling soft serve ice cream made with Mikkabi mandarin oranges, so I tried it. It was incredibly delicious 😋
I recommend it as a detour between Tokyo and Nagoya.
