Most people come to Hangzhou to visit West Lake.[Grin] However, there is more than just the West Lake scenic area to visit in Hangzhou.
A friend told me that there is also Lingyin Temple. Haha, after visiting the cultural scenic spot around Gongchen Bridge, I have to say that this place is also worth a visit.
Before I came here, because it was said to be based on the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, [Facepalm] I thought it was simply a canal cultural area similar to other places, with a Grand Canal Museum and several surrounding buildings.
However, when I arrived at the scenic area, I found that it was not the case. It was a cultural scenic area. There was a Canal Museum, haha, but it was in one place. Other large building complexes include various museums, medical clinics, Taoist temples, etc. It is both a cultural attraction and a practical facility. It's really interesting.
Here you can slowly walk into each building and learn about its function, its exhibits, and its history one by one. If you are tired of shopping, there are drink shops, snack bars, and street snacks, which are very lively.
After visiting the cultural scenic area, walking up the Gongchen Bridge and looking at the Grand Canal and the scenery on both sides of the river from afar is a different feeling. There is a square opposite the bridge and a passenger ship terminal along the river. [Trick] It is a passenger ship, not a cruise ship. When boarding the ship, you can scan the bus code on your mobile phone to get a 4 yuan ticket. Take a boat to see the scenery on both sides of the river, and then get off at Wulinmen Pier to continue the following activities.
