Impressions West Lake | A Poetic Scroll Painted in the Misty Rain of Jiangnan

Jiangnan memories, the fondest are of Hangzhou.

In March in Hangzhou, the rain ☂️ falls continuously, adding a touch of poetry and serenity to the West Lake.

Amidst the misty rain, Impressions West Lake begins right on time! Some might say that this post-G20 version isn't as charming or as representative of Hangzhou's culture as the previous one, but I haven't seen the previous version! So, I genuinely think this version is amazing❗

Accompanied by the pitter-patter of rain, "Moonlight on the Spring River," one of China's top ten musical pieces, slowly unfolds against the backdrop of the West Lake mountains ⛰️ and the spring dawn of Su Causeway. From "Tea Picking Dance," "Butterfly Lovers," and "Dreaming of Paradise" to "Moonlight," the performance concludes with "Fond Memories of Hangzhou."

Despite the rain, the lighting, stage design, and sound effects throughout the performance are top-notch. As expected from the national director, his aesthetic is truly impeccable! Especially during the duet dance, the moment the fans gracefully unfold/transition, synchronized with the elegant dance steps, truly creates a captivating atmosphere! I absolutely adore this scene❗

Hangzhou not only boasts enchanting natural 🌿 scenery but also a rich cultural heritage, where technology and classicism intertwine, and elegance coexists with the mundane.

After watching this performance, I was truly awestruck! Impressions West Lake in the misty rain 💧 is absolutely stunning! The performers are all fantastic👍🏻

Falling in love with Hangzhou and West Lake is truly an effortless affair!
