Xixi National Wet Land Park: Charm of Hanzhou Nature

Xixi National Wetland Park is China's first and only national wetland park that integrates urban, agricultural and cultural wetlands into one ecosystem. Located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, this 11.5 square kilometer wetland is just 5 km from West Lake and 6 km from downtown Hangzhou. As a National 5A Scenic Spot, Xixi Wetland holds the prestigious title of being China's first wetland to join the Ramsar Convention's list of "Wetlands of International Importance" under the designation of national wetland park.
The park's most distinctive characteristic is its water-dominated landscape, with about 70% of its area covered by rivers, ponds, lakes and marshes. The wetland features include
