Must-visit natural paradise in Hangzhou 🌸

The Xixi National Park is a must-go in Hangzhou, especially if you happen to visit during flower blossom season. We went in February and due to the particularly cold weather this year, we managed to catch the beginning of the plum blossom 🌸

The national park is huge, so prepare to spend at least half a day there even if you simply want to take pictures at the most popular spots. You can tour around the park on foot, or you can hop on the paid shuttle (<RMB10 per head) like I did. I also recommend taking a cruise on the manual boat, where you can enjoy the view while drinking a cup of Hangzhou green tea on the lake. But try not to let the staff talk you into taking a cruise > more than 3 hours which is way too long and pricey.

Tip:
- go in Feb-March for plum blossom, April for sakura blossom
- take the manual boat (2 hours tops)
- buy the “sure win” cake as souvenir if you want good luck in your next endeavor!
