Leifeng Pagoda (雷峰塔) is nestled on the Sunset Hill, West Lake in Hangzhou. This iconic historical and cultural landmark offering stunning views of West Lake (西湖) and the surrounding scenery.
The pagoda is deeply tied to the Legendary of the White Snake (白蛇传), adding to cultural and mythical charm.
From the top, you can overlooking the panoramic of West Lake, the city skyline and distant hills. The view is extremely stunning at sunset when lights are illuminated. Rebuilt in year 2002 with elevators and well-maintained pathways, making it easy to explore.
There is a historical exhibits at the base, showcases the ruins of the original (built in 977 AD) and artifacts from the Wu Yue Kingdom.
⏩ Admission to the Leifeng Pagoda in costs RMB 40 per adult. 🕰️ Open daily from 8 am - 8 pm.
