Don't miss out! A hidden gem of a park by West Lake!

🌳About the Attraction

Hangzhou Zhongshan Park is located on Solitary Hill (Gushan) in West Lake. It was converted from the royal garden of the Qing Dynasty and named in 1927 to commemorate Mr. Sun Zhongshan. Here, you'll find Ming Dynasty white marble lions and the ruins of the Qing Dynasty imperial palace, such as the Head Palace Gate and the remains of the Hanging Flower Gate. The park's architecture is cleverly integrated with the natural landscape, including the Wanjv Pavilion, Sizhao Pavilion, and Tuanjie Pavilion at higher elevations, the Green Cloud Path made of lake stones, and the stone walls engraved with Song Dynasty calligraphy. There is also the West Lake Tianxia Jing Pavilion, named after a poem by Su Dongpo, with its couplet "Waters and mountains, everywhere bright and beautiful; sunny and rainy, always good and wonderful" full of fun.
