Fuchun River
Drove from Hangzhou to Tonglu for a 1.5-hour road trip. Had lunch at the local Laotaipo Restaurant (Yaolin Road branch) – dishes weren't too spicy, with potatoes, appetizers, and stir-fried chicken all featuring a sweet-sour flavor that suited our taste perfectly.
After the meal, strolled along the riverside park where the tranquil harmony of Fuchun River could be captured effortlessly. Drove along the bank to Dongziguan Village, predominantly featuring Hui-style architecture, radiating serenity. Across the river lay Tongzhou Island, though we didn't visit, just glimpsed it from afar.
Next stop: Longmen Ancient Town, which currently seems to offer free admission. Then continued driving to Sanjianghui in Xiaoshan and Xianzhao Temple. Took the mountain path beside Kaiyuan Senbo up to the summit – short but winding and extremely steep, requiring extra caution. Enjoyed the panoramic view of the three rivers converging and the sunset.
