Jingci Temple 🔔

We arrived at Jingci Temple as the sun began to warm the stone steps, casting soft light across the red walls and sweeping eaves that nestled quietly at the foot of Nanping Hill 🌄🏯🌿. The air was filled with the low, steady hum of chanting, mingling with the sound of wind rustling through tall trees and the occasional toll of the Evening Bell deep, round, and echoing as if from the heart of the mountain itself. Everything here moved slowly, with the weight and grace of centuries.

Inside the temple grounds, incense drifted gently through the courtyards, curling around statues of serene Buddhas and weathered stone lanterns 🕯️🧘♂️🍂. Visitors bowed in silence, lit joss sticks, or simply sat beneath the old ginkgo trees, letting the rhythm of the place quiet their thoughts. Across the lake, Leifeng Pagoda shimmered in the distance, another thread in the tapestry of West Lake’s legends. Jingci Temple didn’t call attention to itself it offered a quiet refuge, where sound, space, and spirit came together in balance, inviting you to release and reflect 🕊️🙏🌅.
