The pioneer of the China Academy of Art, forging the revelation of people's aesthetics!

Mo Pu is the mentor of Quan Shanshi. He wholeheartedly faced the sun, straightforwardly igniting the lamp of the heart, which gave birth to the "Zhejiang School of Figure Painting." He also established the Color Ink Painting Department at the China Academy of Art and strongly promoted Li Zhenjian, Zhou Changgu, Fang Zengxian, Song Zhongyuan, and others to stay on as faculty.

Under Mo Pu's promotion, the China Academy of Art formed a third artistic lineage beyond Mr. Lin Fengmian's "integration of Chinese and Western styles" and Mr. Pan Tianshou's "innovation from tradition," emphasizing rooting in the land and standing firm in the era.

The Shanghai National Crisis Propaganda Group, organized by Mo Pu, was one of the earliest anti-Japanese salvation groups in China's art world using painting as a weapon, playing a certain role in awakening the unity of all ethnic groups to resist Japan.

Mo Pu used a realistic style of language and a realistic narrative approach to construct the spiritual map of the older generation, interpreting the spirit of the times through artistic practice and passing on cultural heritage through education.

With his knife and brush, he depicted important works with characteristics of the era and national spirit. The forging and tempering in the revolutionary furnace shaped his sincerity in both character and art.
