Half-Day Walking Tour to Enjoy West Lake

West Lake, located in Hangzhou—a city known as the water town—is highly recommended for a visit. It is easily accessible, taking about an hour by high-speed train from Shanghai and around 90 minutes from Nanjing.

Most of the attractions are concentrated around West Lake, making it easy to plan your itinerary. I chose a half-day morning walking tour to explore the lake.

Despite the intense heat of midsummer, the stunning scenery of West Lake kept me walking. Everywhere you look, the lake, sky, and landscaping harmonize beautifully.

I would love to visit again in winter to experience its charm in a different season. Though vast and physically demanding to explore, West Lake is undoubtedly worth the effort.
