Falling for Hangzhou

When the temperature starts cooling and the daylight begins to shorten, it’s the sign that fall is here. Being one of my favorite seasons for photography, it’s the time of the year where some leaves turn from their normal green to striking yellows, oranges and reds.

Where do I go to photograph fall vibes? Hangzhou! Being based in Shanghai, Hangzhou is only a quick one hour high speed train ride. Easy for a quick weekend getaway.

This spot here is on the western side of the famous Hangzhou West Lake. but this location is not as crowded as other parts of West Lake. Here, you can easily be with nature without going too far.

Being such great place to watch the sunrise or sunset, I try and make time to visit whenever I am in Hangzhou. especially during fall.
