Daily Life of a Non-local PhD in Shanghai｜Complete Guide to Jiuxi Shibajian in Hangzhou

Weekend city escape plan to Jiuxi in Hangzhou, hiking and breathing fresh air to experience the healing power of nature! Please keep this detailed guide～Fewer people and beautiful scenery in autumn, very comfortable 🍂 Light rain adds a special charm

🚇 Take Metro Line 4 to Shuichengqiao Station Exit B, walk two minutes to the Zhakou bus stop, transfer to bus 308 and ride one stop to Jiuxi Station;
🚌 Take bus 314 or 308 to Jiuxi bus stop, or take a taxi directly to the Jiuxi Road entrance.
🚗 You can book in advance on the official WeChat account to drive into the scenic area. We parked at the nearby Platinum Jue Hotel parking lot, then took a taxi and bus. Parking is free for up to four hours and not expensive after that. Parking inside the scenic area is relatively costly.
Return trip: There is a bus stop at the entrance of Yunqi Bamboo Path Scenic Area, from which you can take a bus to the city center or a taxi to the metro station.

📍 Hiking Routes
1. Full Challenge Version: Jiuxi Bus Station ➡️ Jiuxi Smoke Trees ➡️ Jiuxi Shibajian ➡️ Longjing Village ➡️ Shili Langdang ➡️ Zhenji Courtyard ➡️ Yunqi Bamboo Path, about 12 kilometers in total, estimated time 6–7 hours.
2. Easy Lazy Version: Jiuxi Bus Station ➡️ (take the 8 yuan sightseeing bus) Jiuxi Smoke Trees ➡️ Jiuxi Shibajian ➡️ Longjing Village, about 4 kilometers in total, estimated time 2 hours.

⚠️ Notes
1. From Jiuxi Smoke Trees to Jiuxi Shibajian, near Lian’an Temple there is a fork. Take the left side trail to Longjing Village; the right side Qianlong Road leads to Yangmeiling. The signs are not very clear and it’s easy to take the wrong path!
2. It’s best to wear non-slip hiking shoes or creek shoes and long pants to prevent mosquito bites. Kids can also bring a pair of slippers to play in the water~
3. Some sections of Jiuxi Shibajian require crossing streams; the stones are slippery, so please be careful.
