Stay at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi

Hanoi's oldest hotel, founded in 1901.
This colonial-style hotel is one of Hanoi's most famous luxury hotels, and has won numerous awards.
It is located in the Old Quarter in the center of Hanoi, and has been a landmark since its establishment.
It is conveniently located just a short walk from the Opera House.

It is divided into two types of buildings, the Metropole Wing and the Opera Wing, but the Metropole Wing is currently under renovation as of August 2023, and is closed except for the lobby floor.

The rooms in the Opera Wing are very clean.
The red color of the bathroom is also cute.
Macarons were distributed to the rooms during turndown service.

The white-based atmosphere of the lobby floor is also wonderful, and the hotel has many luxury brand shops, such as Hermes.

This hotel also has an air-raid shelter that was actually used during the war, and there is an air-raid shelter tour every evening.
If there is availability, they will ask you if you would like to join the tour at check-in, but it is very popular, so if you have a preference, it may be better to request it when making a reservation.
The tour lasts about 40 minutes, and at the end, you will be offered drinks at the bamboo bar in the hotel.
