Wat Chi Chang, Wat Metta Kuson, Hat Yai

"Wat Chi Chang" For almost a century, this temple has stood tall in the heart of Hat Yai city. Wat Chi Chang is located on Supasarnrangsan Road. It is another important place that has its own name, the Chi Chang area. It is an area with many delicious foods and famous products of Hat Yai gathered in this area. One reason may be because it is near Kim Yong Market, which is the largest retail and souvenir market in Songkhla and Hat Yai.
This temple is called "Chi Xiang Yi" in Chinese. If we translate it into Thai, it means "Wat Metta Kuson", which is a temple in Mahayana Buddhism. In the past, this temple was just a small shrine with the deity Lu Zhou (one of the 8 immortals) as the presiding deity. People generally call this shrine "Lu Zhou Shrine".

Wat Chi Chang is a 4-storey white building decorated with tiles. They say that it was designed using Thai, Chinese and Tibetan art. You can walk around the temple to see the beautiful Buddha images and unique architecture, which are completely different from Thai temples. It is beautiful and attracts you to walk in and see. When you get closer, it's even more beautiful. Each side of the temple wall is a unique picture of Hat Yai in the past. You can take pictures at every corner of the temple.

Inside the first floor of the temple, there are many Buddha statues and deities, such as the Buddha statue in the attitude of stopping relatives, the god Guan Yu, and the thousand-armed Guan Yin. Anyone who wants to pay homage and ask for blessings is invited to come to this temple every day. All spiritual people, if you come to Hat Yai, must not miss coming to this temple. #VisitHatYai #HatYai #ChineseTemple #BeautifulTemplesAroundThailand
