From 7-Eleven to Songkhla: My Southern Thai Food Trail

Hat Yai is everything I didn’t know I needed — food, vibes, and surprises at every corner. 🍜✨
First stop? 7-Eleven. Yes, seriously. From Thai toasties to milk tea in a can and spicy seaweed snacks — it’s a foodie experience on its own! 🤤
Then I wandered through Songkhla Old Town, just a short ride away. Think colorful street art, historic buildings, quiet alleys, and that charming old-town energy. I sipped iced coffee at a vintage café and strolled past old shophouses that felt frozen in time. 🏘️📷
But the real star of the trip? The food. Everywhere. All the time.
From street vendors to night markets, I tried:
Crispy fried chicken with sticky rice
Spicy papaya salad
Roti with condensed milk
Grilled squid, mango sticky rice, Thai tea... and more
Every bite was a win. Every meal felt like a new adventure.
Hat Yai might fly under the radar, but it’s a must for food lovers and culture chasers. Already dreaming of going back.
