From downtown Hat Yai, it takes just a few dozen minutes of driving up Khao Kho Hong to feel completely disconnected from the hustle and bustle. The road includes both paved sections and some narrow stretches, so drive carefully. However, it's not overly challenging, and sedans can make the trip.

Once you arrive, you'll immediately feel the tranquility. Surrounded by forest and mountain views, the air is slightly cooler than in the city. You can clearly hear the sounds of birds and the wind. If you visit in the evening, the lighting is stunning and perfect for photography.

• There are both resort zones and camping zones.
• The camping zone offers a truly natural vibe. At night, the air is cool and refreshing, and you can enjoy the sounds of the forest. If you're lucky, you might even see stars.
• Bathrooms are available but are more functional than luxurious, focusing on practicality.

• If it rains, the road can get muddy and slippery, so wear sturdy shoes.
