【Hiroshima】Itsukushima Shrine during low tide

I visited Itsukushima Shrine located on Miyajima Island!!

It’s about an 11-minute walk from the ferry terminal.

On the way to the shrine, there were plenty of shops where you could enjoy street food, making the walk quite enjoyable✨

You can also get amulets and Goshuin (temple stamps), but there was quite a long queue for the Goshuin!

I arrived in the early afternoon, and during this season and time of day, it was low tide, so I couldn’t see the shrine surrounded by water.

However, I was able to walk right up to the base of the torii gate⛩️, which is usually submerged in water!

Next time, I’d like to visit during high tide♪
