Hechi travel: 6 scams that almost ruined my trip!

Listen up, everyone! I just got back from Guangxi's "Semporna," and I almost cried after being scammed by a rogue tour guide at Jiudun Tianchuang.😤 I stayed up all night to compile this list of real-life pitfalls. Read it and save yourself ¥1,000!

🚗 Transportation traps
❌ Don't believe the "¥2,000 for a four-day Nanning car rental" lie! The actual deposit starts at ¥3,000 + ¥80/day for scratch insurance. High-speed rail + bus is a much better option (Nanning East → Jinchengjiang Station, then transfer to the scenic spot shuttle bus).
❌ Don't drive to Sanmenhai! The parking lot is a 2 km gravel road from the pier. My flip-flops were destroyed.😭

🌊 Optimized itinerary (original itinerary + scam avoidance tips)
DAY 1: Jiudun Tianchuang
✅ Hidden gem: Paddleboarding at 4pm! The slanting sunlight reveals the 12-meter underwater caves (Don't rent a transparent boat! The underwater reflections will ruin your photos).
⚠️ Danger warning: There are undercurrents at the edge of the water flower fields! Turn back 50 meters from the Tianchuang cave entrance (Don't be like me and almost get sucked in😱).

DAY 2: Longjiang First Bay → Muluojia Small Three Gorges
✅ Northern Xinjiang alternative: Bring a CPL polarizing filter to capture reflections at Boundary Marker 836! Otherwise, the water's reflection will make your photos unrecognizable.
⚠️ Cliffside walkway scam: The bamboo raft challenge to the 460-meter walkway costs an extra ¥80! It's actually only 200 meters before it's blocked by an iron gate (I asked the boatman for a refund, and he said, "You didn't ask"💢).

DAY 3: Sanmenhai
✅ Emerald green photography tip: It costs ¥20 to ask the tour guide to use their flashlight! Bring your own high-power flashlight for the same effect.
⚠️ Blue Cave danger zone: Don't stand on the right side of the boat when passing through the Tianchuang! The dripping water from the rock wall can soak your clothes in half an hour (Don't ask how I know😭).

📸 Photography fails
⚠️ You need to fly 500 meters high to capture the U-shaped bend at Longjiang First Bay! The no-fly zone sign at the pier is tiny (My drone was almost confiscated).
✅ Secret photo spot: Wait for a cargo ship to pass by at Muluojia Tianmen Gorge! Use a 200mm telephoto lens to capture the "light boat has passed ten thousand mountains" effect.

🍜 Food recommendations
❌ Yao long table banquet ¥150/person = 5 cold dishes + 1 chicken! It's better to go to Liu Jia Town for the ¥28 all-you-can-eat sour pork.
✅ Must-try: Zhuang five-color glutinous rice—choose the one dyed black with maple leaves! It's 10 times better with diced sausage than the sweet version.
✅ Secret code: Tell the villagers "I want freshly caught" to get authentic grilled river fish (¥25 for dead fish, ¥40 for live fish).

💡 Survival guide
1️⃣ Bring water shoes! The pebbles at Jiudun Tianchuang are incredibly slippery.
2️⃣ Bring cash! There's no signal at all in the Sanmenhai scenic area (You can't even scan a QR code to buy a sausage).
3️⃣ Wear bright clothes! Wearing black in the caves makes you invisible in photos.
4️⃣ Beware of "freelance photographers"! The ¥5/photo is actually a Photoshopped template (They put my face on someone else's body😤).

It's water flower season! Save this guide and tag your adventure buddies!🌿 The next post will be "Guangxi's hidden waterfall scam guide." If this post gets 1,000 likes, I'll stay up for three days to write it!💥
