A 2.5-hour autumn self-drive in October, unexpectedly encountering the stunning Light and Shadow Chapel

Driving from Guangzhou to Heyuan was super smooth! Only after arriving did I understand why my friends rave about it so much~💨

From afar, you can see the exposed concrete building, which is the Chapel of Poetry!
It is the final work of architect Tadao Ando's chapels.
The spiral staircase is amazing, and just standing anywhere makes for great photos📸,
plus the crack of light and shadow creates a perfectly atmospheric artistic vibe.
The green apple sculpture nearby matches perfectly!

In the evening, take a hot air balloon to watch the sunset🌇, then enjoy fireworks at night.
There’s also an infinity pool and hot springs facing the valley, with a super comfortable view!
The Blue Grape Hotel where I stayed has spacious rooms and even a kitchen.

By the way! From October 12-18, there’s the Light Art Festival,
featuring international top premieres: Yoann’s global debut of "Stroll," the China premiere of "Floating Shadows," and an exclusive water curtain show in front of the Chapel of Poetry: "The Fantastic Journey of Light" — a Heyuan Creek Valley exclusive that’s incredibly stunning! Hotel bookings include festival tickets, so no extra purchase is needed. Staying one night lets you enjoy it all~
