I've always been fond of Tadao Ando's architectural design. When I saw that the final chapter of the Auditorium Tetralogy, the "Poem Auditorium," was located in Heyuan Chunmuyuan, I couldn't wait to rush to this poetic appointment.
With a 12-meter-high space, sunlight pours through the skylight, following the geometric contours of the building, cutting out the boundary between light and shadow. The entrance reserved for light is like "life has cracks, and that's how the light gets in." Tadao Ando's design indeed hides philosophy.
Looking outward, the triangular lines frame the distant mountains and nearby waters into a dynamic painting. The movement of light and shadow is the rhyme of the poem's lines. The building is no longer a cold structure but a three-dimensional poem written by Tadao Ando using geometry as the brush and light and shadow as the ink at Chunmuyuan!
