[Shiga] Introducing Hikone Castle, one of the five national treasures!

Hikone Castle in Shiga Prefecture has a castle tower that has survived since the Warring States period, and is counted as one of the five national treasures.

Also known as "Kinkame Castle," it was built over a period of 20 years by Naotsugu and Naotaka, the sons of Ii Naomasa.

Currently, "Hikonyan," a white cat modeled after Naotaka's acquaintance, is very popular, and Hikonyan can be seen at Hikone Castle every day.
