Himeji Castle, a national treasure and World Heritage Site, is located in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Its overwhelming appearance, towering majestically into the sky, looks like a white heron soaring, so it is also known as the "White Heron Castle."
It is the finest wooden building in Japan, and its aesthetic perfection is unparalleled in the world!
The site is very large, and there are free and paid areas, but we recommend that you enjoy the paid areas.
Inside the castle, there are audio guides in Japanese and foreign languages. It's great to be able to stroll at your own pace with the "Himeji Castle Premium Audio Guide" that uses AR and CG!
If you download the dedicated app and hold your smartphone or tablet device over spots inside the castle, detailed explanations will appear along with videos and photos.
Now that the cherry blossom season is here, you can enjoy exploring Himeji Castle even more.
📍Address: 68 Honmachi, Himeji City
