Himeji Castle during cherry blossom season is, without a doubt, one of my favorite spots and truly embodies the charm of Japan! Surrounded by water, small boats, and cherry blossoms, the scene is so dreamy! 🏯🌸 These photos were taken on April 11th, around 4-5 PM. If you're in Kansai during these days, it's definitely a must-see! 🌞
The specific spots for photos in the first and second images are marked in the tenth picture. After getting off at JR Himeji Station, follow the direction toward Himeji Castle and head to the "城見台公園" (Castle View Park). Nearby, you'll find the "護国神社" (Kokoku Shrine). After passing the shrine's gate, head towards the riverbank in the park. You’ll see several photographers with long lenses. It was busy during the day, but I found the late afternoon (around 4 PM) to be more acceptable with enough space to shoot. 📸
We waited around 20 minutes for the boat to arrive. The boatman turned around in front of the bridge and even waved at us, giving us plenty of time for photos and videos! 🚤
Walking around the outer perimeter of Himeji Castle, there are countless cherry blossoms, perfect for photography. I’ve been inside the castle before, so this time I didn’t buy a ticket. Instead, I focused on free photo spots! The golden hour light mixed with cherry blossoms was absolutely stunning. 🌅🌸 The area around the castle is not too crowded, so you can freely pose and take photos, and I even captured some adorable dogs in the shot. 🐶
Compared to Osaka and Kyoto, it was far less crowded, and it only took 15 minutes to get here from Shin-Kobe Station with the JR Pass! 🚄 So convenient! Highly recommend it to all cherry blossom lovers! 🌸👑#travel
