Aomori is the home of the Nebuta Festival, which attracts a huge number of tourists every year during the first week of August to participate in and watch the festival. Neputa Village is a place where you can easily understand and experience the history of the Nebuta Festival. It is conveniently located and the staff are friendly and informative. You can join in the drum performances and there are shamisen performances held at regular intervals. The workshop selling souvenirs makes all the items by hand, and they are very cute and beautiful. It is a must-visit comprehensive cultural attraction in Hirosaki. Highly recommended!!!
