[Hiroshima's hidden gem] Shukkeien Garden, a nationally designated scenic spot

Access: 15 minutes on foot from Hiroshima Station

Address: 2-11 Kaminoboricho, Naka-ku, Hiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture 730-0014

Price: 260 yen

A garden created by expanding a 17th-century feudal lord's garden until the Meiji period.

I thought it would be small because it is called Shukkeien, but I was surprised at how large and impressive the garden was.

It is said to have been created based on the image of West Lake, and while it certainly does have a West Lake-like image, the bridges and other features are also similar to the Summer Palace in Suzhou.

There are many foreigners, so it will take about 1 to 2 hours to take a leisurely look around.
