Let's go see the traditional Japanese garden #Shukkeien Garden in Hiroshima City. According to history, it is a garden of the lord of the Kaiyushiki style (a garden designed to allow walking around the pond in the middle of the garden) in the Edo period, which was built as a vacation home by the owner of Hiroshima Castle, Nagaakira Asano.
This Shukkeien Garden is a garden designed in a true Japanese style, with a replica of a forest and valley to create a view that is as close to nature as possible. When walking around, it felt very shady and the wind was cool and comfortable. Let's go see the atmosphere around the garden.
The highlight of this garden is the white marble bridge in the middle of the pond, which is curved like the Kintaikyo Bridge (I made this up, haha). In the spring, this garden is another place to see cherry blossoms in Hiroshima City. Maem saw a lot of cherry trees.
How to get there:
1. From Hiroshima Station, walk for about 15 minutes.
2. Take Tram No. 9 and get off at Tram Stop: Shukkeien-mae.
3. Take the bus Meipuru-pu Bus Stop: No.2 (walk 5 minutes).
For anyone who goes to #Hiroshima and likes Japanese gardens in the middle of the city like this, there is Shukkeien Garden. I recommend you to visit it.
