The Seto Inland Sea as seen from Naoshima Island with the Red Pumpkin

During my short 2-night, 3-day trip to Takamatsu, the most breathtaking scenery I encountered was the Seto Inland Sea, viewed from the ferry traveling to and from Naoshima Island.

The tranquil islands peacefully floating on the calm sea, the shimmering afternoon sky and ocean—
Even though the sound of the ferry moving and people chatting could be heard, the scene felt serene and still. This picturesque view is the first thing that comes to mind whenever I recall my trip to Takamatsu.

⚘ Tip:
When the ferry approaches its destination, head to the third floor. The view is much more open compared to indoors. There are outdoor tables on the third floor, so you can enjoy a light snack and drink while taking in the scenery.
